This is almost the end of my internship, with just a few days to go. This week was extremely difficult to be productive and to get things going as my boss's 2 year old daughter was down with a high fever. Anything that needed our boss's approval had to be put on hold. This was very untimely as we were already pressed for time as it is. Anything that was very urgent I had contact her on her private number to have her check and approve when she could find the time to do it.
I had to work overtime several days this week, reply emails from home, and even take calls after office hours as everything had to be done so urgently. I had to liaise with the designers who was in charge of the designing of the flyers, the banners, and the Facebook timeline cover who sometimes will only get back to me past 7pm.
Things are going more fast paced as we are busy with last minute changes as to who will be attending the event, the event launch mechanism as well as preparation of the media kit. All these had to be tweaked several times. We also needed to ensure that everything projected the image and impression we wanted to give to the public. This included having the Guest of Honour give everyone the impression that she is just like every other person.
This was also our last chance to get organisations involved in charitable work to help us promote our new course on their platform. I wrote in to several other organisations such as Care Singapore, and the National Council of Social Services.
As I was co-ordinating the whole event, I also had to inform the staff who are involved on World First Aid Day on their various tasks as well as on the dress code. I too had to go down to the venue to ensure everything was in place and the set up was done properly.
Hopefully everything will turn out well in time for the event. Stay tuned for my next post on the actual World First Aid Day.

Hi Clare. I see you've had quite a lot on your plate. Events are generally a race from start to finish and there are only a select few who enjoy doing that and getting satisfaction out of it.
I happen to be one of them. I was involved in Perth Fashion Festival 2013, and unlike one day events this went on for 6 days so you can imagine the chaos that everyone went through.
I hope your event goes well and you seem to have it all under control and know what you are doing. When is World First Aid day again?
Goodluck with the event!
