Counting hours ! (Part 1)

It's a day before my project and I am nervous ! For those out there that are having their project coming soon, what I can advise you is, please FREAK OUT ! No. I am joking. You SHOULD be nervous but take charge of it and control yourself from being  too nervous til you stumbled or mumbled or fall sick ! As a PR person, we really need to get it together and stay calm. For my project, even though everything are already ready, I do still get nervous because sometimes, we cannot control the external factors to happen.

Before having the CatsFurLife talk, on last Wednesday (18th March), I was asked to assist (being the Master of Ceremony) in Legal Talk on Women's Right on the 26th March, 2:30pm. And on the same date, to assist a colleague in a site visit from Methodist Kindergarten in the morning. It's good to have something going on before the talk. Beca

On the 26th March (Thursday) morning, I assist one of my colleagues, Ms. Adelin in bringing the kids from Methodist Kindergarten to have a tour in the library. They arrived at 9am and we brought them around the library and lastly, to the Children Infotheque. This room is for children only, including books, computers, tablets and activities for kids. Since Methodist Kindergarten is a Chinese school, one of the teachers will be the translators to the kids. Once they have settled down, then, the show begins ! First, Ms. Adelin and I introduce ourselves to the children and welcoming them. After introduction, it's the story-telling time. I was asked to give a story-telling session to the kids (A day before, I chose one book that are suitable for them as they are in between 3-6 years old). The story that I chose was Mr. Mu and the Rats. The story telling was fun ! But I wish I was able to speak Mandarin because in that session, it has to be bilingual (Mandarin & English) so, the energy, the hypes of the kids was up and down. But nevertheless, we enjoyed it!

After that, we have activity of draw-cut-and-paste session. Ms Adelin's session was simple, all the kids need to do is to draw any aquatic animal, cut it from given A4 paper and paste it on the a board.

And before we end the session, the kids sang  a song for us, twinkle-twinkle litter stars!

The children were settling down before we begin the session.

The children sang the Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

And that's a wrap for Methodist Kindergarten site visit! Before we fully end the session, we took a photo together!
