NetworkingWA

Hey guys my name is Sian Rigby, I’m in my final semester studying a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Public Relations.

I have been doing my internship at NetworkingWA which is an event management firm, but it also offers services in events management, graphic design, event styling and theming, managed services and professional conference organisations.

They also run another company connected to it called Events and Conference Co which also focuses on the points just mentioned above but also works in – media liaison, marketing, PR services, content product, sponsorship sourcing and association management.

In my time at being at NetworkingWA I have had the chance to learn a lot from Rebecca (director) and Adrianna (Event Manager / Graphic Design), which I hope to share with you in my up and coming blogs. I have also had the ability to work with other students from Curtin but also other university’s, whilst at my time at NetworkingWA which has allowed me to network and share this experience with.

At NetworkingWA so far I have had the ability to work on many event in which they have held since March including WA Today Entrepreneur & Innovators Awards and Turia Pitt The Road To Resilience event, along with working on events which they are holding in the not to distant future including KangaART with Miami Bakehouse and Homeless person week.

Whether it be working at the actual event on the day, to the large amount research that is required before the event, creating blog posts for Event Conference &Co blog or creating a press release the my time a NetworkingWA so far has been a great learning experience.
