Hey guys so this is my last blog. Short and sweet! How fast has time flown over the past 12 weeks and now the assignment is due!! So far the Gala Dinner Auction event at the West Perth Football Club has been a success. Unfortunately I cant tell you how the event went because it hasn't occurred yet. However, what I can tell you is the amount of success I have had in receiving these donations over the past month, and also the actual construction of the night. It did seem as though the event had a no finishing line type of feel, but with the team at West Perth we are seeing that rope at the end of the line. There is still a lot to do, such as ring up contacts or sponsors to fill up tables for people to attend, as well to still seek for more donations. The whole layout, and food and beverages has been organised and finalised, and therefor the main thing now is to attract people to come to the night as well as purchase items from the auction. Which is available online very soon which is very exciting - a brand new concept that the club brought in this year. Competitors have used this tool in the past and found it very rewarding and very successful in regards to financial gains.
So yeah, my last blog about the West Perth Football Club. Last unit for University is the best feeling ever! Almost done now. Thank you to the footy club for enabling me to do my Internship and to be able to take on this amazing challenge of an event. But the event hasn't yet so that means I better get back into convincing people to attend the night. So thats my cue to go, good luck everyone for what ever you guys do!
Sam!
