Hi,
Sophie and I have been assign to work on
the communication regarding the event “Visit of the Mayor of Bethlehem, Mrs
Vera Baboun in Mauritius”. We have been working on the timetable of her visit,
we called the journalists to confirm their attendance to events, we contacted
concerned people for her visit, we worked on press releases, and we built and
edit on a daily basis the Facebook page allocated to her visit. We were also
present to all the important meetings of Mrs. Vera Baboun.

Vera Baboun for a meeting with the president and the chief executive of the
council as well as the members of the council.

Sounds like there's an exciting road ahead of you, girls! I personally love working on events too and the fact that you guys are organising this event for an important public figure makes it even more exciting. I'm sure you will learn a lot and this will be an experience to definitely mention and talk about during future job interview.

I still remember this day, we had to wait for at least one hour for Mrs.Baboun to arrive, then we thought the schedule had been changed and that she was not coming and we were finally informed that she was actually coming. We waited at least two hours before she arrived, on this day we both learned how to manage contingencies and not let it affect our work. In the end we did a great job that day and handled every situation and unforeseen events. It was really great working with you on this project Fiona and i hope that in the future we will again get the opportunity to work together on another project.
